Before someone turned up the temp last week, the kids and I met Auntie Jen and Riley at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and here are some highlights...
We fed the giraffes...Our only instruction was to give them a little at a time. Not sure if it was so they don't get full too fast or afraid they might choke. Lincoln walked right up handed the giraffe his entire handful of leaves and the happy little guy was on his way. We had to make Lily's stash last.
Boy do they have a long tongue. Kinda weirded me out but fun.
Auntie Jen did not disappoint with the assortment snacks she provided. And due to tradition, we ate them on the train (that was not running at the time but who even cares when you are filling yourself with cheese crackers and fruit roll-ups).
